Chee-keg-oh

What a trip! What a gorgeous city! Can I go back please? Scratch that. Can I live there please!?!? Side note: You'll hear me say this all the time when on vaca. "Can I live here please!!!??" Noah and I (emphasis on I) have a tendency to want to move to wherever we are vacationing. New York? Yes please! San Fran? Sure! We could do it! San Diego? Absolutely! Hawaii? No need to even ask. Of course!!!! Catch my drift? I know it would be different actually living there, but I love the thought of imagining it.

{I mean, who wouldn't want to see these beautiful sky lines, every day?! I know I would!}
Here I am, all smiles in the OC airport. One glass of wine down, check!
{I have a very expensive point and shoot camera that takes high quality pictures. Blurry is the new focus}
Once landed, we headed to Kincades bar to watch game 7 of the Lakers vs Celtics. The whole upper bar was dedicated to die hard Laker fans.
The place went bonkers when we won!!!
The next day we were off to the Angels vs Cubs game. Partied a little before at the Cubby Bear, a bar across the street from Wrigley Field.
The boys ran across the street to rally with the Angels TV camera men.
Group shot!
{Again, not blurry. Gotta love my super great camera}
Had a little fun before heading into the stadium. It was a giant macaroni noodle. YUM!
This stadium was beyond old and amazing.
Hot, but gorgeous day out.
My good friend Christi was practicing her support-the-hubs duty by rooting for the Cubs :)

Noah and I at a bar in Wrigley Stadium
Next, we headed up to the top of the John Hancock building for some champagne, strawberries...
...and one AMAZING view of the entire city
My baby and I...such neat views!
{Juuuuuuust a tad bit tipsy...don't judge}
One awesome day, followed by a girls only trip around town.
Bellini's...
Champagne at Pops Champagne bar...
Cheers...
Navy Pier...
and shots!
That night we headed to Joe's steakhouse for dinner
Beautiful friends. Love them!
Our last day was spent eating lunch at Gino's pizzeria
Hello deep dish deliciousness
Then back to Navy Pier
For the architectural tour!
Chicago was awesome! Every minute of it. The wind. The crazy rain weather. The hot, humid air. The transportation. The cocktails during the day. The friends. The nightlife. Absolutely LOVED IT!

Tell next time, au revoir!

  1. The title of this post really threw me off, I thought it was some Asian city! and then seeing the pictures I got even more confused because it didn't look Asian... In the Cheers photo what are you all drinking? They look sparkly and they're in a fancy glass... like that!

  2. Great photos! Looks like you had a blast! My boyfriend and I are the same way: when we go on vacation we always ask each other, "And WHY don't we live here???"

  4. The drinks were amazing at Pops! A couple of us had drinks called, "Start wearing purple." These were made with rothman & winter crème de violette, stoli vanilla & brut champagne. Deliciousness! And others had Bellini Coupettes. Those were made with white peach foam, sparkling rosé, and raspberries.

    See link for more info on the drinks :)http://www.popsforchampagne.com/

    Hilary: The clutch is from a boutique here in Irvine, CA called Madison Bleu. It's located in the District shopping center. Glad you liked it :)
